My new 50mm lens is so awesome!

So after a month I finally posted something  again, and this time its about my new 50mm lens.
A 50mm lens is considered to be a prime lens, a prime lens is a type of lens that has a fixed focal length.
Unlike zoom lenses or those kit lenses, prime lenses can't zoom in or zoom out when taking pictures but because of that, prime lenses tend to have lower apperture(1.8 for the lens that I bought but some other lenses can go as low as 1!) which will result in more light and less noise in the photos that you took.
Using a 50mm lens will also give you that blurred background effect or Bokeh effect which makes your photos look amazing and dreamy.

Pictures of my new 50mm lens:

You can buy this lens at your leading camera store for only 6,000 pesos! this is cheap for a very good investment.

I decided to use my new lens out and this is what I got(note that the following photographs are not edited and it is raw based from my camera's settings)

As you can see, the field of depth is quite amazing with natural light, the photo above was taken in our car in normal daylight.

The sushi look amazing, because of the low aperture the camera will have more light so that it can focus more on the subject, and I believe this is the best example of it. As you can see the sushi are the only focused thing in the picture, any other subject rather than the sushi is slightly blurred or blurred throughout.
This lens is actually good for those people who wants to be Food-tographers.

The amazing fried siomai shot, I really love this shot because is really focuses on the dripping of the sauce, and once again the background is blurred so that you will only focus more on the subject.

The depth of field in portrait shots is just amazing.

I was surprised with this shot because even if the subject is just as small or thin as it gets, the lens will still focus and will give you a depth of field of it.

and the last shot I took, well I really love this shot because the background is over exposed but the subject is not, which gives you that dreamy effect. I took this photo outside in normal daylight.

I really recommend for beginners or amateurs (like me) to invest in buying a new 50mm lens.
Yes it does have its bad side, like you can't zoom in or zoom out when shooting, but that's the point.
Using a 50mm fixed lens will train your creativity and your ability to take a beautiful shot with those restrictions and plus with a lower aperture, your shots will truly be amazing because it can take in more light than other lenses.
Like myself, I have already concluded that this is an investment I will never regret.
Invest in a 50mm lens and you'll feel what I am saying.

FoodGasm With Me: Susie's Cuisine :)

So me and my friend ate at Susie's Cuisine( their new branch at Ocena) because we were both craving for Halo- Halo. We tried the new branch since it is near our school.

I ordered my all time favorite, the Bringhe. For some of you who does not have any idea what Bringhe is, This is the Kapampangan version of the Paella . The bringhe is stiky rice or "Malagkit" rice cooked with broth, herbs, spices and some veggies. Then it will be serve with Chicken and Egg slices.

Here's the pictures:

The Bringhe is only for 50.00 pesos! It is very price competitive and you really get what you pay for.

My friend on the other hand ordered the best seller, which is the Palabok.
I like Susie's Palabok because it just taste so good.
Words can't even describe Susie's Palabok.

Same as the Bringhe, you can get this for only 50.00 pesos!

Both me and my friend also ordered their Halo-Halo.
For everyone out there, Susie's Cuisine serves the BEST Halo-Halo in the world!(In my opinion).

The thing about their Halo-Halo is that it doesn't have that much ingredients BUT, it just taste so good.
The ingredients(even if its few) blends together perfectly.
the Ube, Leche Flan, Macapuno, Beans and Pastillias. They all blend well together.
This is a must try! and this is also for 50.00 Pesos!

This is the reason why I am proud to be an Angeleno. The food here is so good that you'll sometimes think how does these establishments make money wherein everytime you eat, you will realize that you got more than what you payed for.

Mga Litrato: Life, Love, People and Journey.

I was bored when I drew these pictures.
I have nothing to do in my OJT so I made these drawings.
I used our White Board and our Red and Black board markers.
hope you guys enjoy it!

I was inspired by vintage things, so the feel in my 3 drawings is Vintage.
The First drawing above, which I call "Fireworks" is about the journey of  a firework towards explosion.
I was inspired to make this because I want this picture to serve as an inspiration to someone.
Like fireworks, we people will need to reach up and have a long journey to do what we want and to get where we want in life.
You see, fireworks start from the ground, and end in the sky.
like in life, we need to start from the bottom if we want to end up at the top.
and my drawing depicts that.

The next one which I named "Condominium". This one I got the inspiration from everyone. Every people living in this world. As you can see from my drawing, there are several Red dots in each square space. this represents everyone. Yes, each and everyone of us are unique. We have different races, skin color, attitudes and personality. But. at the end of the day, we are very much the same. Why? because we are human beings deep inside. We are no different form one another. Like in my drawing, no circle has the same circumference or size. But, all circles are Red, thus making them similar to each other despite their differences.
The last one, which is my favorite from the 3, is called "Ice Cream + Love".
well, I was hungry so I made this but I do have another deep meaning why I made this.
As you can see, the 2 circles represent two things. Human heads and Ice creams.
below the 2 circles is the cone.
The cone is very important, why? because the cone holds the ice cream together. Like in love, something must hold the two lovers together. Because if nothing will hold them together, then they will not fall in love with each other. Like Ice cream, love will melt if not kept at the right environment and situation. Love  must be kept and taken care of. Because if you will not take care of love, it will melt into nothingness and all of your effort for each other will be just put to waste.

But in my own opinion, the best part about the 3 drawings is that it gives you a perspective in the real things in life(I hope). Live your life to the fullest, because life is a beautiful fragile thing. We only live ones and we need to live it up today.
